Welcome to Voices from the Hill, a student-driven blog to showcase the creative endeavors of UPIKE’s Arts and Humanities students.
We strive to create a platform where students can share their work, and inspire other students to share their creative works.
Who We Are
Originally, Voices From the Hill was Pikeville College’s yearly journal of student writing, founded in 1986 by Elgin M. Ward. Voices From the Hill was discontinued in 2002, but the purpose of this blog is to revive a space to feature fantastic creative work from students. The blog will not only feature works from writing students butwill also now present works of art from any major, field, and art form.
Upload your creations! Whether it be a short story, poem, short-film, or original music, we want to feature your work and show the creative minds of UPIKE students!
In addition to students’ works that will be uploaded to the blog, occasionally our editors will be contributing their own writing. These posts from our editors will include information on opportunities in the humanities and some of their own creative writing.
